At FUNCINATING, we see these possibilities as part of character design. Our aim is to give collectors details they can explore and choices they can make. GISMOW's Hide & Seek series shows how that idea takes shape in a collectible figure.

GISMOW Hide & Seek: one character, two poses
The GISMOW Hide and Seek Alliance series features a rotating lower body that lets the figure switch between sitting and standing. Turning it at the waist changes the pose, giving you two ways to display the same character.
A patent application has been filed for this sit-and-stand design. For a collector, its appeal is practical: a change of posture creates another possibility for a desk display, a shelf arrangement or a photograph.
This is the kind of innovation we want to explore through our products: a design detail you can discover by interacting with the character. The figure's appearance introduces its personality; choosing its pose gives you a part in the scene.
Details that invite a closer look
Hide & Seek also features removable, interchangeable headgear. The disguises turn familiar objects into part of GISMOW's world, giving you another way to change a figure's look.
The series combines a PVC/ABS body with a flocked surface that gives it a soft touch. Together, the texture, headgear and changeable posture offer different details to explore. Try a new disguise, switch the pose and see how the character fits into a scene of your own.
For us, personal expression can begin with these small choices. You decide which details to highlight and how to bring them together.

Taking character stories into shared spaces
Our interest in interaction extends to the places where people meet our characters. With roots in China and a global outlook, we want to create opportunities for audiences in different cultures to discover FUNCINATING through familiar interests and shared experiences.
The GISMOW × SOURI theme store collaboration is one example. It paired GISMOW with SOURI in a lifestyle setting, with Thai actor Win Metawin and Mick Metas joining the event. A physical space gives a character story another setting, beyond its packaging or a product page.
