How to Attach a Bag Charm So It Always Faces Outward

This guide shows how to attach a KOUCOMI charm with a continuous fabric loop and an opening ring clasp. Feed the fabric through your bag's attachment ring, fold it back, then secure it with the charm's own ring. Keep the fabric flat and check the face before carrying.

Step 1: Slide the ring down

Slide the charm's closed gold ring down toward the top of the plush. Keep it threaded through the same fabric loop. This leaves the folded top of the loop free for the next step.

Step 2: Pass the loop through

Keep the two fabric layers together and feed the folded top upward through the bag's attachment ring. The charm's own gold ring stays below, near the plush. Use a bag ring large enough for the fabric to pass through without forcing it.

Step 3: Fold the loop back

The brown fabric loop folds back toward the charm's gold ring.

Bring the section that passed through the bag ring outward and back down toward the charm's gold ring. Keep it flat, without twisting. The folded end should sit close enough to the gold ring to clip through.

Step 4: Clip through the folded loop

Press the spring gate inward. Pass the exposed fixed tip of the gold ring through the folded fabric loop. Use the same gold ring that is already threaded through the charm's original loop.

Step 5: Close and check

Closed gold ring secures the folded brown loop beside the silver bag attachment ring.

Release the gate and check that the two ends meet fully. Make sure no fabric is caught in the opening. The folded fabric should sit flat around the upper part of the ring.

Step 6: Ready to carry

Let the charm hang freely and check that its face points away from the bag. Gently check the connection before carrying. Recheck after movement; a twisted loop or a shifting bag attachment can change its position.
